This technique allows for the use of up to 24 colors creating ultra fine detail and a beautiful abrash effect. These subtle color variations commonly found in handmade rugs are a direct result of cross-weaving. Mirage’s lush fringe is not added or sewn on, but is actually a continuation of the strong backing yarn of the rug, subsequently, all Mirage rugs are hand finished.
