Axo Light USA was founded in 1996, establishing an environment where artistry and ambiance flourish in equal measure. This dynamic collection represents a fusion of materials, shape, color and cultures, and it became an immediate global sensation with the release of Avir, arresting configurations of hand-twined color glass pendants, created by the leader of Axo Light’s design team, Manual Vivian. With an aesthetic shaped by the passionate appreciation of raw materials and an elegant approach – Vivian’s work reveals the DNA of the collection. Under his direction, Bohemian crystals celebrate an earthy nature while infusing Vivian’s Subzero with Nordic grace. As a counterpoint, the sleek engineering and gleaming chrome of AX20 expresses joy in mechanical precision. Obi unites pure geometric form with richly textured hand-strung silk, evoking centuries of Japanese textiles. Other collaborations also showcase the collection’s balance of form, function and international flair. Candido Mammini of Lo Studio snc, unveils her theatrical design background through the dramatic showstopper, Glitter, while recalling the glam heydey of 1970s New York and Studio 54. By comparison, Dodo Arslan’s Kaleidolight, transforms the iconic pyramid with futuristic mirrored surfaces and clustered fluorescence.
