I was Decorations Chair for my high school homecoming, and I bought these lights for the school to keep to use each year- I thought by buying them, I would be being eco-friendly and we could use them to light up the hallway at our homecoming dance. After exposing them to direct sunlight for hours and following all of the directions carefully, the lights did not light up. I even took them to a tanning booth and let them sit in the beds for about 20 minutes. Some strands would not turn on at all, while others were dully and faintly lighted. Overall, I was not satisifed with this product.

These lights are not very bright, but if you're looking for eco-friendly lighting to outline or enhance an architectural element, then this is the perfect product. I purchased this lighting to accent our two person swing in the backyard. They were just the ticket. This is a excellent option in lieu of 12 volt lighting.

I bought these for a deck for illuminating a pathway and top rail trim on a small deck. Although not as bright as I'd hoped, they do do give off fair amount of light and are still lit at 5 AM. They seem virtually weatherproof and I've mounted them on underside of rail so should last long. Very satisfied overall.

Maybe I've seen too many led rope lights that are 110v and they seem heavier gauge and better quality. The clear tubing the lights are enclosed in is more like surgical tubing, not what I expected.
