The iridescent tiles are MUCH more beautiful than the online image suggests. I used them for the bathroom floor, with an accent line of the tiles in the shower area -- looks magnificent! the tiles at first look disappointingly transparent, but installed on the floor the transparency and the shape of the tile give the effect of a complex transparent greyish green that shimmers with iridescence as I move about the room.

My contractor hired a specialist with long experience in laying this sort of handmade Japanese tile. Both the manufacturer and the tiler pointed out that if incorrectly laid, the sharp edges on the tiles would make them a bad choice for the bathroom. The tiler also said that even for someone of his experience the tiles are tricky to lay, and VERY difficult to install on a wall, which he did for one of my neighbors, with beautiful results.
